Buffering allows a streamed video or media file to be loaded while the user is watching or listening to it.
Buffering works by pre-downloading and stores video in a temporary cache before playback begins on whatever device you are using.
When playback begins this ‘buffer’ means that the video does not need to be downloaded at the same speed the viewer is watching it.
Most video streaming sites will automate this process, working out based on the user’s internet connection how much of the video needs to be downloaded before playback can begin.
How can you solve buffering issues?
